About the 2013 Summit

The highly anticipated, first annual WOMEN A.R.E. Summit is a one-day invitation only event taking place Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the prestigious SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. Three hundred prominent women will be invited to attend the Summit. Building upon the success of our two recent Salons featuring CNN Hero Somaly Mam and CEO of HSN, Inc. Mindy Grossman, WOMEN A.R.E.’s events cultivate community around the issues affecting women today.

WOMEN A.R.E. will create a unique forum which will include exceptional speakers and invitation-only guests. Invitations will be offered to female entrepreneurs, C-level executives, advisors, consultants and women in key roles at leading organizations in business, entertainment, education, law, health, and philanthropy.

The goal of the WOMEN A.R.E. Summit is to provide a forum for collaborative thinking, idea and information exchange, and to discuss initiatives that advance the roles of and directly impact women. Our intimate settings will facilitate networking and relationship building. Our goal is to motivate attendees by exposing them to highly successful and extraordinary women in active leadership roles.

In association with the Summit, WOMEN A.R.E. will host a private cocktail reception on the evening of November 6th for a select group of 40-50 invitees.

In association with the Summit, WOMEN A.R.E. will host two pre-summit dinners for a select group of 20-25 invitees each, on the evening of November 6th. The dinners will provide an intimate opportunity for guests to interact with each other and panelists.

The Summit will provide a curated day of dynamic speakers, panel discussions and glimpses. Our four panels themes are: Women in Business, Women in the Arts, Women’s Heath and Wellness, and Women’s Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy. Panel discussions will provide an opportunity for participants to share ideas and experiences with the most influential women in Los Angeles. Glimpses, offered throughout the program, are additional 15 minute mini-presentations – hot topics – worth hearing.

As part of the Summit experience, the Women Engage Lounge will be available for attendees to converse, relax or recharge.
